Now we know about how much the Macrium recovery environment consumes in at least one example from the real world. On this Windows 10 system the 16GB flash drive with the Macrium recovery looks like this: Every system here has Macrium installed and Marcrium is also configured as a boot option - in case Windows won't boot and I can't find the recovery flash drive for that system (unlikely).Įvery system has a dedicated USB flash drive that has the Macrium recovery software installed on it and that is the only thing that flash drive is used for (poor grammar).
